Born in Brasília, she moved to the US and became an international columnist for a daily newspaper at just sixteen years old. Mariana moved to London in 2006. Her professional career has included legal work, co-founding the fashion brand London Republic, and serving as a government trade advisor in Riyadh, where she resides with her family.

Mariana writes in Portuguese and English, with columns around the world.
