As the last of the autumn leaves fall from the trees, the Secret Kingdoms team and fabled local wine merchants Madrid and Darracott invite you to our ever-special literary quiz. There will be four rounds of six questions each, focusing on different aspects of our Ango-Spanish heritage. Each round will be introduced with a fine wine (and a brief insight from wine expert Luke from Madrid and Darracott) to match the theme. Tapas, Sherry, and mince pies will also be provided.

Round One – Anglo-Spanish Golden-age Literature – from Cervantes to Shakespeare and much more!

Round Two – Early 20th Century Anglo-Spanish Literature – from Brennan through Hemingway to Lee and beyond!

Round Three – Anglo-Spanish Literature today – for all those leaving the Atocha station!

Round Four – Name That Extract! (Anglo-Spanish of Course!)

Tiebreaker – to be invited in case of need (Anglo-Spanish no doubt!)

There will be up to six teams of 4-5 people – you can sign up as a team, or individually and we will allocate you to a team at the start of the evening. Whilst the event is free, we do ask those signing up on-line to buy a 10€ voucher they can exchange in store (for a special bag of goodies!) on the evening of the quiz.
